Hello, I had to go back to the start of the thread to remember what this was about. no, I don't have pictures, I scrapped that messed up metal and moved on. I haven't had any results like this again. I have actually cleaned a couple of pieces in the ultra sonic again but only for a few minutes and then washed well. I think it was a combination of things. I just did some castings in silver, one ounce castings with a new torch, a smith that takes air from the room and acetylene. I couldn't get the metal to melt easily so I ended up really over melting the metal and got some results a bit similar. So, I think the first time may have been mostly over heating the metal as well. It churned around in the flask too long I think, hence the junky surface and pits. I have been casting about 30 years so I am bound to screw up once in a while. thanks d
