ArtCAM 2015 R2 is the latest customer release; there is no ArtCAM 2016 release.
I can locate your email address in the forum database, but this is entirely separate from Delcam's customer database; the latter is what counts. It's very generous of your friend to hand over their USB security-protection dongle to you, as this would mean that they would not be eligible for an upgrade and would've had to buy an entirely new ArtCAM licence. If your friend wanted to transfer their ArtCAM licence to you, they would've needed to make enquiries with Delcam.
