I hope all is well, I don't come to the forum all the time, only when I get some free time.
here's a screen shot of the toolpath and an open vector .03" wide 1 inch long starting point on the outside right, profile, machine along the vector toolpath, .5" deep step down .5 straight down in then out then straight up, .25 end mill (about the size of the narrow portion of the dovetail bit). make sure the start and end of the vector is where you want it to start and end.
hopefully this will clear all the fog.
